today at work, i watched a patient receive bad news... he has cancer. like, he appeared at the counter with a worried look.. and then after seeing the doctor, his face was red. perhsps from crying or reeling from the shock. i try to emphatize. and imagine myself in his shoes. a mental note to self: to slow down, and appreciate life before its too late.
